Just Call Him "ORIE"

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet"

Call Me ORIE!
That being said by William Shakespeare in the phenomenal drama "Romeo and Juliet". The legendary drama written of the British up until now have remained popular and cited many people. He is true, whatever is called a rose would still show its good smell, so whatever is called an Orangutan would still remain the original of Indonesian big ape. So what's in a name?

From Orangutan into an Identity

Our Logo
Young Orangutan
Choosing Orangutan as our representative icon are expected to accelerate double impact, helping to communicate our idea of LITTLE INDONESIA and joined the campaign to build awareness of the importance to save Orangutan. It is one of the endangered animals protected by the law and we want our existence could also build the awareness to save that poor animals.

First Step to Start

The origin creature of Indonesia
When the idea growing up and come into the step to be realized, we are looking for something that can be refers as a starting point. Something strong, unique, distinctive and represent Indonesia appropriately so able to talk the idea of Indonesia clearly. Of the many objects, creatures, and other attributes attached to Indonesia, our choices lead to creature called "Orangutan". These creatures are the only big ape that lived in Asia and can only be found in the forests of Borneo and Sumatra islands. Others big apes such as gorillas, chimpanzees and bonobos live in mainland of Africa.

Where The Idea Come From

Angry Birds
Who does not know Angry Bird or Sponge Bob or Doraemon or others? We understand the visual and character, our kids may not have been as high as our level of understanding but it was enough to make them idolized all characters which are considered as "hero". Their faces and many other characters adorn the various attributes of kids, such as: t-shirts, clothing, handbags, hats, and others. They are loved and become an idol, but unfortunately does not represent anything of Indonesia, there is also tells nothing about Indonesia. Our kids loved it but did not get any message about Indonesia
