YoYo is actually not Indonesia native toy, some may though the game which is also popular among adult comes from China but there is no valid evidence were found to support the claim. In other side there
is a historical stuff where it was found a vase comes from the ancient Greek era depict a child was playing YoYo. The vase is expected to be made in 440 BC, when the YoYo is made of wood, metal, or fired clay. Its function not just for a toy but also a ceremonial where the skills of doing this toy indicate a child has a particular phase in his life.
The history
of YoYo could be traced in 1928 when the toy entered the modern era of mass produced for commercial purposes. Is a Filipino American named Pedro Flores opened the Yo-yo Manufacturing Company in Santa Barbara, California. YoYo business started with a dozen handmade products, until in November 1929 he successfully operates two factories in Los Angeles and Hollywood which employs 600 workers and produces 300,000 YoYo each day. In the same year, an entrepreneur named Donald F. Duncan recognized the potential
of this new toy mode and bought Flores Yo-yo Corporation, following all assets including the Flores name. In 1932, the company was transferred to a new company, Duncan O-BOY, and for the first time the name "yo-yo" as a registered trademark. YoYo toy contest began in the same year as Harvey Lowe listed as the first winner of the contest which took place in London, England. In 1946, Duncan Toys Company opened YoYo factory in Luck, Wisconsin, and encourage the YoYo games spread throughout the world
The impact goes to Indonesia, but we have not found how it was developing
in this "Land
of the Equator". One for sure up until the last two decades this toy is so popular and is played among the kids in
this country. YoYo growing industries ranging from craftsmen scale up to a larger scale. Unfortunately, not yet found a record of development not even
until the toy would start to erode the time and was marginalized by digital and electronic toys which are so loved by kids now.
LITTLE INDONESIA liked to reintroduce this toy (and other traditional games) for kids so they have more options to get fun. We took a small craftsman from Blitar, East Java, to specifically make quality YoYo. Hundreds YoYo has been produced in the first stage and sent to Jakarta, ready to be played. way for you to share to the kids as well as prolong survival the toy and follows the craftsmen
