HOM PIM PA is a way to determine the winners and the losers by using
the palm of the hand, usually carried out by at least three
participants. They are simultaneously uttered HOM PIM PA. At pronounce
the last syllable (pa), each participant shows one hand with the inside
of palms facing down or up. The winner is the participant who showed a
different palm of the other participants. Usually HOM PIM PA used by the
children to determine their turn in a game. While playing hide and
seek, for example, children who lost HOM PIM PA will act as "Kucing" or
guard post.
